XL Newsletter May

JP ShelburnG’day once again JP,

Things are in full swing at XL Service Bodies where we are headed towards the end of the financial year a full order book. We’re excited about the future ahead and have put on several new factory team players to meet the current demand.

The Directors have also appointed me General Manager which means I am responsible for both sales and delivering service bodies and canopies customers want! I’ll do my best to make sure XL continues to lead the industry in product quality, innovation, customer service and dependability.

“SHOW US YOUR (Sign written) BODY” Competition

The pearl white finish and flat sides of the XL Service Bodies and Canopies make a perfect backdrop for sign writing and vinyl visuals.

Our biggest customers like Telstra, Energex, and Sandvik make full use of this opportunity to communicate visually with the thousands of people who see their vehicles every day.

Show Us Your (Sign Written) Body! Competition

What about YOU!

Do you have a sign written XL Body you are proud of?

I’d like to collect some examples of interesting, amusing and effective mobile advertising that could give other owners some good ideas and which we can include in our advertising and promotion activities.

So…. If you can send us a photo of your XL body or canopy with your sign writing or vinyl visuals on it we will put you in the competition to win our XL cold drinks fridge and send you an XL T-Shirt for your trouble.

The winner of the fridge will be chosen by me for originality, effectiveness and colour and the photo will appear in this e-newsletter along with others that look interesting.

Please email them direct to me …. jp@xl.com.au  and include your own name and address and size (medium, large, XL 2XL) so that I can send you a T-Shirt.

The “Show us your (sign written) Body” Competition will close on 30th May.

Mine Expos in April a Huge Success for XL!

Over the last few weeks Team XL has been coast to coast showing off our ROPS Body at the QME and the Perth Mining Expo. We met heaps of great people and felt both shows were good value for our business. It’s evident the mining industry is booming and it’s our aim at XL to be a serious player in the mining boom supply chain. Our visitors were blown away by our in house one stop shop mentality once they found out we do all our own electrical modifications, ROPS manufacturing and fitting, decaling and safety specific fit outs to suit the current BMA Requirements. We’ve taken the pain out of getting mine work trucks ready for action and while making the process affordable for the end user. “Once I described what we do as a one stop shop service, we had one attendee order five straight up!”

Our next Trade Shows we will be exhibiting are the Surat Basin Energy and Mining Expo on June 20th through the 21st and then the LOGOV held October 10 through the 11th.

We expect to be in Mackay for the Queensland Mining Expo in July but will not be exhibiting. However if you are going to be there too, we would love to catch up over a coffee or beer. If you want to schedule a time with either Steve Clayton or myself then call us on 1800 677 601 or email jp@xl.com.au.

The All New Holden Colorado At XL For a First Look!

Earlier this week we had the opportunity to have a first look at the All New Holden Colorado. Like the new Ford Ranger PX it’s much bigger and robust in styling. The Cab Chassis has a bit of curved to the rear of the cab, similar to the Triton 4 door and will present some challenges for the service body design. Of course it’s nothing we can’t handle at XL.

As you can see Managing Director Nick Korganow was the first XL engineer to get down and dirty getting a look for himself! We have yet to take an order for the New Holden but in speaking with our engineering and design team we can have one ready for manufacture within one week of receiving an order.

Top Secret ProjectIn Next Month’s Newsletter:

XL is set to release brand new product that’s not a Service Body or a Canopy. It’s a product that’s been long overdue in the making. We’ll be unveiling it at the Surat Basin Energy and Mining Expo… stay tuned!
