XL Commitment to the Future

In October Managing Director Nick Korganow made his bi-annual pilgrimage to Hanover Germany to attend EuroBLECH which is known as the Mecca for the sheet metal industry. Over 60,000 people attended EuroBLECH this year and many like Nick were there to get a firsthand look at what machinery advancements have taken place and how they can get a competitive edge with investments in newer techonologies. Nick’s first trip to EuroBLECH was in 1994 and has attended every show since and this year he brought his cheque book!

XL is proud to announce we have placed orders for over $1 Million dollars worth of the latest sheet metal processing machinery. This investment will no doubt provide better lead times, higher quality of parts produced and above all greater design abilities. XL Industries is committed to local manufacturing and we’re excited about the future.

November’s end couldn’t come soon enough for some of the fellas on the factory floor. The stache attacks were getting nasty the last few days but all of us at XL understand Movember is a great movement and we proudly support it with a donation of $1,000. Most of you may not know this but Movember was originated in Australia but has spread throughout the world. Just last week I was in Southern California visiting some of our key suppliers and the Mo Movement is going strong. Good on ya Movember! Have a look at how far they’ve come in this YouTube video:

XL Christmas Shut DownXL Holiday Shut Down begins December 21st and re-opens for business January 7th.

Even though we are brimming with orders our experience tells us the team deserves a break.  XL has had an incredible year and we’ve done everything we can to pull in lead times. I want to thank my production team for sticking in the overtime and giving up their Saturdays and working hard to get your orders completed.

Center of GravityStay tuned for my end of the year Newsletter which will give you a sneak preview what’s in store for XL in the New Year and why we think the future is looking great! Also we’ll explain what a lower centre of gravity means to you and those you share the road with! This photo is not exactly what we consider a good example!
